Weatherford Laboratories has recently announced the acquisition of Isotech Laboratories, Inc., a company whose gas-isotope-based tools and associated technologies have set the standard worldwide for:
- reducing oil and gas exploration risk in the petroleum industry;
- determining the origin of groundwater hydrocarbons for the environmental sciences industry;
- monitoring the integrity of underground gas storage fields for the gas storage and transportation industry.
Through a combination of Isotech's industry-leading sample collection and analytical methodologies with Weatherford's leading expertise in both mud logging and interpretation of gas geochemistry data, we have created one of the petroleum industry's single most robust resource for using gas data to mitigate key aspects of risk.
